2015 Thai schools competition 2015 winning entries

Following the success of the 2014 Thai Schools Competition, MiSAC, the British Mycological Society (BMS) and the Thai Institute for the Promotion of Science and Technology teaching (IPST) sponsored a competition for 16+ students on the topic of Fungi for Healthy Living.

Entries from across Thailand focused on the traditional uses of medicinal fungi in Asia, with very little reference to what is termed 'the western medicines' which are developed from fungal products, eg, antibiotics, statins and immunosuppressants.

Winners, accompanied by their teachers, displayed their posters and explained in English their choice of fungus at the Asian Mycology Meeting at Khon Kaen University, where they received their awards.
